Our Story and Passion for Tennessee Walking Horses
Carolina TWH Equine Farms is privately owned by William "Buck" and Donna Buchanan, bringing over 50 years of equine experience to the Tennessee Walking Horse community.
Located in Advance, North Carolina, in Davie County within the Piedmont Triad region, our horse farm is rooted in tradition, integrity, and a deep respect for the Tennessee Walking Horse breed. While our horse boarding facility proudly serves owners throughout Advance, Winston-Salem, Mocksville, and surrounding communities, we sell Tennessee Walking Horses to clients across the United States.
Our focus has always been simple: quality horses, ethical horsemanship, and care that reflects both experience and heart.
Experience You Can Trust
Buck Buchanan's love of horses began as a teenager under the mentorship of Charlie Sapp at the renowned Tanglewood horse farm, originally owned by William Neal Reynolds, a tobacco tycoon and brother of RJ Reynolds. In 1951 the Reynolds' private country estate, was willed to Forsyth County and is now known as Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, North Carolina.
Buck has competed in many Tennessee Walking Horse shows throughout the East Coast including the prestigious Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. His accomplishments include multiple World Championships and Reserve World Grand Championships-honors that reflect not only talent, but dedication to the breed.
Today, that experience continues to guide the standards of excellence at Carolina TWH Equine Farms.

Donna's interest in horses began in childhood and grew into a passion for Tennessee Walking Horses. At our Advance, NC farm, she carefully selects TWHs known for quality pedigree lines, strong conformation, and exceptional dispositions.
From promising young prospects to seasoned show horses and family-safe pleasure horses, Donna approaches each decision with care and intention. Every horse is treated as her own-because to us, they are more than inventory; they are partners, athletes, and family.
